SWA 10: Review Questions 1-5 EA pg. 85
1. My present writing process is sort of like the “just write” method. I should start organizing my thoughts together and I should write good drafts. I should also start revising my drafts more properly. They would help me keep my ideas and thoughts together. I would avoid mistakes in my paper by using these strategies.
2. Outlines help people see the organization of your ideas before you write. Your essay can also be more structured.
3. 3 suggestions for revisions are:
1. Look at your draft as a whole- look at the organization of the draft, see if you have a proper introduction, if you can identify the main points, if you have used transitions, and also check for complete thoughts in sentences.
2. Ask revision questions to help you locate other problems- listen to your inner voice to locate problems in your draft, ask yourself if it is clear, what you should cut, and what you should ad. Also check to see if there is enough variety, and if you have used active voice, avoided sexist language, and followed the rules for grammar, usage, and punctuation.
3. Check for final errors, add or adjust your title. and type and print your paper-check the spelling of your paper, correct typographical errors and format your paper. Also add an appropriate title and then you are ready to type and print out your paper.
4. The exploratory argument paper is a paper that helps you and the reader look at the issue you write on from several different opinions. It will help you decide your position on the issue. It will also give you an understanding of the other issues that you disagree with.
5. Some ways of conducting peer review are making extra copies of your paper and distributing it among classmates so they can read it and offer their own opinion on your paper. You can also read your paper aloud also.

SWA 7: Review Questions 1-5, EA pg. 65
1. The difference between library subscriptions databases and the World Wide Web is that the library subscriptions databases are more organized. But different databases cover different periods of time for example one database may cover articles from 100 years back and other databases may cover articles from 25 years back, so it varies. But the main difference is that we have to pay to use the library subscriptions databases and a password is required. Unlike the World Wide Web, where it is available to everyone and it is free. Also, not all of the content on the Web goes through a publisher or editor like how articles in databases do.
Library Subscriptions Databases- You will find articles in periodicals and scholarly journals.
World Wide Web- You will find articles from well-known credible sources or also second-rate publications that have poor credibility.
2. A bibliography is an alphabetically arranged list of sources that are determined as credible sources that are also related to your issue or topic that you can use for research. Annotated bibliography aids in visualizing sources and basic content.
3. Some of the characteristics of a credible source are that the organization that made the source are well-known in the field, the source is listed in a well-known, reputable domain, the source is published in an online or print journal that is peer-reviewed, the source is accessed by a lot of people, the source is represent by one point of view, and whether the source is unreasonable or undocumented rather than highly informative, factual, and credible.
4. I would create a tentative research plan to guide my research to remain organized during the whole research process. It’s needed while using a computer because their is so much information out there that we can get for research we have to be organized. Also I would use the plan to avoid plagiarism and also to gather other thoughts and ideas to use for my research.
5. Plagiarism is basically adding information that they personally haven’t made into their research work. The added information has been made by another person and not by the student. You can avoid plagiarism by using quotation marks, brackets, documenting the source, and differentiating between your ideas and the authors ideas when you write your research paper.
